SOME THINGS ABOUT WHO I AM
The first headshot was from when I was a Sophmore in High School and the 2nd one was from Senior Year.
Essentially, I'm a grounded, good guy with a good heart, a good mind and a strong sense of friends, the difference to know right from wrong, what it truly important in life and on the hunt for eternal happiness. I consider myself a latch key kid because these days it seems my life consists of waking up, chatting online, answering e-mail, working on my web site then going to work, then home and back on the computer and then off to bed, alone. I wish there was a Mr. Right out there for me to share my life and my dreams with, but life has given me too much proof against that existance so here I am making cheeseburgers for 1 instead of 2. Oh well, maybe next year will give me back the hope that I've lost in this life. Below is a brief description of the trivial aspects of my life.
I moved to West Hollywood, CA from NYC on Feb. 1, 1999. I decided to just leave my furniture behind in NYC and start out new. I flew out and actually mailed from the US Postal Service all my belongings (37 boxes). Believe it or not, every box arrived. I felt like I was starting my life all over again. Hopefully, I was learning from the mistakes I made in the past and moving forward with a greater knowledge of myself. If you can not learn from your mistakes then you are doomed to the past to relive them.
I was working on the NBC TV Series "TRINITY" in NYC so when that was cancelled I just decided it was a sign for me to Go West Young Man, Go West. I had been working in NYC in the TV Series / Film Production field for 6 years and knew I wanted to branch out and work and live somewhere else. When I first moved here the weather was gray, overcast and cold for the first 6 months. But like the trouper I am I survived. Hey, it's better than 3 feet of snow.
While living in Los Angeles I used to do Massage, work in the Music Industry (we did Publicity, Marketing, Graphic Design, Management). I had a terrible experience in the middle of a great experience working at HBO for 2 seasons in the department that produces EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND. Apparently HBO had a problem with me doing porn and while they couldn't fire me for it, they blacklisted me from any and every event where I would be on a red carpet or in the public eye. In the end, the people at HBO and the person that was blackmailing them (there's a story there) made my life such a living hell that they forced me to quit.
August 2001 - I was hit by a truck as I was walking across the street in August 2001. I got a totally bum deal and now for the rest of my life, I'll have back pain that I have no choice but to just live through. Again, I'm a nice guy, a good person, but the fact that we live in a country where a person gets hit by a truck, I win my case and I STILL don't have my medical bills taken care of angers me more than you know.
April 22, 2006 I moved to Chicago, IL. I had a bad back and fell through every loop hole in the system in California so friends offered me a chance of hope in Chicago and I took it. It's was an adjustment but the end result was worth it. I'm staying with friends while my back get's stronger. I had been applying for every job under the sun even if my back wasn't strong enough to support it. Finally a dream job for me came along and not only did I get it but I also got 2 promotions before I even stepped foot at work on my first day. Anyone who knows me well, knows I'm addicted to The Food Network and love to cook and make things for parties so I started working in Chicago at a Catering Company doing various positions and loved every minute of it. I went from working for myself for 2 years and having freedom and struggling to now working over 60 hours a week once I get in the swing of things and loving every minute of it. However, as all good things must end, the owners were TERRIBLE businessmen and as their business was falling apart, they laid me off because they couldn't afford to pay me and then just flat out fired me for no reason.
There are some truly special people here in Chicago that I will forever be indebted to and they know who they are. They gave me a 3rd chance at life and I don't want to screw it up. I moved to Chicago from Los Angeles with 8 boxes of belongings. Truly starting my life over.
March 2007 - I moved to Las Vegas, NV for a few months to work for my old boss, pay off debts and I've been able to even get my very neglected teeth fixed.
Christmas 2007 - Moved back to West Hollywood, CA. Yet another new start in live.
I have an amazing amount of Useless Entertainment Knowledge. Some of my other interest are Modern Dance, Film, TV, Music, Men, Dating and many of the unusual things that happen in my everyday life that makes my life exciting and bizarre.
I have a degree in TV/Film with a minor in Dance from Glassboro State College in New Jersey. I grew up outside Atlantic City and couldn't wait to leave. It may be exciting to visit, but to grow up there is another story. I worked in restaurants (Friendly's, Chi Chi's) and did just about every other job in between from working at McDonalds, making donuts, the Entertainment Dept of Resorts Hotel and Casino, The Easter Bunny at the local Mall, Grocery Stores and many more.
I'm the last of 5 kids (3 older sisters and a brother) and I don't know how I acquired the desire and knowledge, but Entertainment has always interested me and I have a great memory for actors resumes and can, usually, trace them back until their early days. Soap Operas have been a BIG part of my life. My Favorite Soap of all time still has to be SANTA BARBARA. I grew up watching GENERAL HOSPITAL because my sisters wouldn't let me watch Bugs Bunny after school so I got hooked. I also love GUIDING LIGHT, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ALL MY CHILDREN and follow many of the rest.
I have always been active, physically. My mother used to say I was doing cartwheels before I could walk. I was doing gymnastics for as long as I can remember. I was actually very good too. My mom used to get sad every time the summer olympics came along because she always wanted me to be a gymnast in the olympics (I wasn't THAT good, but I could have been). When High School came along I started dancing in the school musicals. I loved performing and it just came naturally to me. When I went to college I discovered Modern Dance. I had always been afraid of Modern Dance because I was under the impression it was all about "feeling the leaves" and other crap like that. LOL. Part of it was like that but a very small part. I LOVED Modern Dance. And through the dance department at my school I met my best friend, Amy.
